The collection I wanted to create was to build upon the garments we made throughout the years of being in the fashion program.I wanted to update some of the patterns we made during the courses to create a new look that fits my style. The jackets I created has been updated and altered from the blazer pattern drafted in advanced pattern making class . The trousers were altered to a new custom size using a basic block that had been drafted to include pleats and pockets. The corset pieces were drafted on the dress form and then transferred into a pattern to create the final garments. I wanted to make a collection that was timeless and simple with a dark wave aesthetics using metal hardware. The pieces are made meant to be expensive using only high quality material that is sourced by branded fabric suppliers. Notions and hardware soured are heavy duty and locally sourced.
